2 hour trek £30 Pentre Riding Stables is British Horse Society approved for 2014 and is also an approved Pony Club Centre. We are members of the Wales Trekking and Riding Association. Our horses are all fit, well-mannered, surefooted and very capable of negotiating the steep, often rocky terrain, to high level areas from which the views are best. We can cater for all levels of rider, so trekking is an ideal and fun way for the whole family* to enjoy the outdoors. Our Guides are all experienced trek leaders and will do their best to ensure that you enjoy your outing to the full. Rides are tailored to the riders' abilities and the maximum number of riders we can accommodate in our groups is 20. It is strongly recommended that you split into 2 rides if you have varying levels of ability within your group. Our Trekking Rides include assessment & instruction, and range from 1.5 hrs, ideal for first timers, through to our Special Rides, which are full-day, long rides into the more remote and challenging parts of our area. For further details and prices, please see Prices & Ride Times. * Please Note: Whilst every possible precaution is taken for your safety and well-being, we would ask you to bear in mind that riding - as with most sports - incurs an element of risk. General Trekking InformationLunch and RefreshmentsWe do not recommend that people carry food with them (except on Special Rides), although a small plastic bottle of mineral water can provide a welcome drink on a hot day. On treks that include a lunchtime stop, we will stop at a cafe or pub where you can chose your own food. Food and refreshments are not included in our prices however and everyone pays separately. What to WearFor all Riding Activities at Pentre Riding Hats to current British Safety Standards must be worn. These are available to borrow, free of charge. We require that you also wear suitable shoes or boots with a smooth sole and a low but substantial heel. We suggest that all riders wear trousers or leggings (shorts are not suitable for riding whether worn by ladies or gentlemen). As we are likely to be riding on high ground, where it is often cooler, warm clothing and waterproofs may be needed.
